Catapult would like to officially welcome Tim Huefner as our new German Manager.
Tim is a former professional football player in the second division of Bundesliga after winning a bronze medal at the student Olympics in 1994 with the Student National Team of Germany. At the age of 20 he became a UEFA-A-licensed coach.
Still coaching football teams on the side, Tim worked with several youth teams, the German Football Association and at Soccer Camps in the USA, even founding a football academy in the New York region.
Academically, Tim has a Diploma in Business Administration (thesis in Sports Marketing) with further education as a Certified Sport Manager. In 2007, Tim graduated with an Executive MBA at Bradford University (UK), with his thesis on international business with a focus on the sporting goods industry.
Tim then worked as Head of Marketing for a second division Bundesliga Club (Carl Zeiss Jena), before setting up business operations in China and initiating and managing sponsorship of a national team during the 2002 FIFA World Cup with a sporting equipment business.
In 2009, Tim started his own consulting service to assist small- and medium-sized companies build up marketing and sales networks in diverse industries such as medical devices. He now returns to the sports arena with technology that utilizes his diverse view on sports.
