Rajasthan Royals partner with Catapult to drive performance innovation in cricket

The Rajasthan Royals have become the first Indian Premier League team to partner with Catapult Sports to drive innovation around performance metrics in cricket.

As the global leader in elite athlete monitoring technology, Catapult will work with the Rajasthan Royals to help the franchise enhance its innovation credentials and explore new opportunities to monitor the fitness of its players and improve team performance.

Speaking about how Catapult is helpful for elite cricketers, John Gloster, Physiotherapist for the Rajasthan Royals, said, “It’s an amazing communication tool that helps us to connect better with the player. We are monitoring total distance covered, maximum and average speeds, on the basis of which we are able to work on a player. The data collected gives us a baseline and accordingly analyse and prepare the player for the next match.”
